Maui High tops King Kekaulike in four sets, improves to 7-4
The Maui High School girls volleyball team beat King Kekaulike in four sets in a Maui Interscholastic League match Tuesday at the Sabers’ gym.
The scores were 25-20, 25-22, 16-25, 25-23.
Kalia Aguera had 18 assists and 10 digs, Treyanna-lee Freitas had 19 digs and six kills and Angel Vallejo had eight kills for Na Alii, who dropped to 8-3.
Match statistics weren’t provided for the Sabers (7-4).
The loss dropped King Kekaulike 1 1/2 games behind first-place Kamehameha Maui.
Baldwin 3, Lahainaluna 0
At Wailuku, Gabby Cordoba had 10 kills, Kamakani Dudoit contributed eight assists and five kills and Milan Yasso finished with 11 assists as the Bears beat the Lunas 25-20, 25-10, 25-13.
Baldwin improved to 3-8, while Lahainaluna fell to 0-11.
Hannah Sophia Pasco-Du-senberry had 12 assists, Mhari-car Tan contributed nine digs, Faavae Galioa finished with four kills and two blocks and Kimberly Yap had three digs and four aces for the Lunas.
