No. 5 Hawaii rebounds with sweep of Cal Poly

The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team swept Cal Poly on Saturday, one day after the Rainbow?Wahine’s 13-match winning streak came to an end.

Emily Hartong had 11 kills and Nikki Taylor added 10 as the UH won 25-17, 25-16, 25-13 at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Hawaii’s Kalei Adolpho, a Molokai High School alumnus, had three kills, one dig and one block. Ginger Long, a Kamehameha Maui graduate, had one kill, one ace and one dig.

Hawaii (16-2, 5-1 Big West), ranked fifth by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, lost in five sets to UC Santa Barbara on Friday.

Chelsea Hardin had nine kills for the Mustangs (8-9, 2-2).
