Rainbow Wahine sweep Highlanders for seventh consecutive win
Emily Hartong had 20 kills as the University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team won its penultimate match of the regular season on Friday, defeating UC Riverside 25-20, 25-15, 25-18 in Riverside, Calif.
Nikki Taylor had eight kills as the Rainbow Wahine (23-4, 12-3 Big West), 12th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, won a seventh straight match. Molokai High School graduate Kalei Adolpho had three kills, and Kamehameha Maui graduate Ginger Long had three digs.
Fabiana Rosas and Ashley Cox each recorded seven kills for the Highlanders (2-26, 1-15).
Hawaii is scheduled to play Cal State Fullerton today.
