Rainbow Wahine sweep Matadors in final home match
The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team concluded its regular-season home schedule with a 25-19, 25-20, 25-21 win over Cal State Northridge on Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
Nikki Taylor had 15 kills and a .565 hitting percentage as the Rainbow Wahine (22-4, 11-3 Big West), ranked 12th in the nation by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, won a sixth straight match – four of those victories have been sweeps. Tai Manu-Olevao had 11 kills, and Molokai High School graduate Kalei Adolpho had nine.
Natalie Allen had 11 kills for the Matadors (22-6, 12-3).
Hawaii will play at UC Riverside on Friday, and finish its regular season at Cal State Fullerton the next day.
