Chaminade vs. Minnesota 9:30 a.m. * ESPNU

What’s up? Minnesota must win its first-ever meeting with Chaminade to avoid becoming the first Big Ten team to go 0-3 in the Maui Invitational. A win by the Silverswords would give them consecutive years finishing better than eighth for the first time since 1991 and ’92.

Arkansas vs. Gonzaga Noon * ESPN2

What’s up? Arkansas can earn its second 2-1 performance in three Valley Isle trips. Gonzaga owns a 7-6 record against current Southeastern Conference teams, but has never before faced the Razorbacks. The Bulldogs will try to avoid going winless against Division I opponents on Maui for the first time.

California vs. Dayton 2:30 p.m. * ESPN2

What’s up? Two teams that hung tough in semifinal losses play for third place. California and Dayton have each been willing to shoot from long distance, attempting 41 3-pointers apiece in the tournament so far. The Flyers are 2-1 against the Golden Bears, though the teams last met in 1985.

Syracuse vs. Baylor 5 p.m. * ESPN

What’s up? The title will be decided in the tournament’s only game pitting ranked teams against each other. The scoreboard could get a workout – both squads have reached 90 points in one of their two games on Maui. Syracuse beat Baylor in their lone previous meeting, at the Carrier Dome in 2006.

California vs. Syracuse 2 p.m. * ESPN
