Scott will be among golfers at Kapalua
KAPALUA – Adam Scott, the 2013 Masters champion, on Thursday announced his commitment to play in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at the Kapalua Plantation Course from Jan. 3 to 6.
Also committing to the tournament were Zach Johnson, who won the BMW Championship, and Webb Simpson, winner of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
The Hyundai event is open to players who won an official PGA Tour event in 2013.
In April, Scott became the first Australian to win the Masters when he birdied the second playoff hole to defeat Angel Cabrera. Scott had another victory at the first FedEx Cup Playoffs event, The Barclays.
Earlier this year, Simpson helped lead the United States to victory in the Presidents Cup.
Last year’s Hyundai tournament was won by Dustin Johnson.
