Medeiros scores twice as Warriors girls beat Sabers

Leialoha Medeiros had two goals and Kehau Macadangdang and Quinn Williams also scored as the Kamehameha Schools Maui girls soccer team beat host Maui High 4-0 on Tuesday to remain undefeated in Maui Interscholastic League play.

The Warriors, who had already clinched the league Division I championship, improved to 12-0-0.

All of Kamehameha’s goals came in the first half. Williams scored in the fourth minute, Medeiros scored in the 14th and 37th and Macadangdang found the back of the net in the 19th.

The Sabers fell into a tie for second with Baldwin at 8-3-0.

At Olinda, Alissa Wallin, Kate Peterson, Samantha Tur-beville and Jenna Carvalho scored goals for the Spartans (2-10-0) in a victory over the Trojans (0-9-0).

Wallin scored in the 23rd minute, and the other goals came within a 12-minute span (54th to 66th) of the second half.
