Na Alii blank Spartans, take Division I lead

Lionel Mills scored two goals and had an assist as the King Kekaulike High School boys soccer team defeated Seabury Hall 5-0 on Saturday in Olinda and moved into first place in the Maui Interscholastic League Division I standings.

Jake Jacobs had a goal and an assist for Na Alii (7-1-1), who moved two points ahead of Baldwin. The Bears will face King Kekaulike on Tuesday.

Jonathan Dahilig and Ian Almeida had Na Alii’s other goals, and Reece Ibara had a pair of assists.

The Spartans dropped to 4-5-1 – a win would have clinched the MIL D-II title.

KAMEHAMEHA MAUI BOYS 7, LAHAINALUNA 0

At Pukalani, Micah Alo and Kailoa Akoi each scored twice as Kamehameha Maui (6-0-3) entered second place in D-I.

Brennan Joaquin, Nainoa Silva and Bryant Kubo scored for the Warriors as well.

Lahainaluna fell to 3-6-1.

MAUI HIGH GIRLS 5, SEABURY HALL 0

At Kahului, Tiare Lucas, Mary-Lyn Johannes and Jordan Jarvis each had a goal and an assist for Maui High (8-2-0).

Lucas scored in the fourth minute and Jarvis in the 10th off an assist from Johannes, who scored off a Lucas assist in the 18th.

Alysha Miyazono’s goal in the 62nd was assisted by Jarvis, and Rachel Rivas Kaulutali scored in the 75th off an assist from Maika Hanta.

Seabury Hall is now 1-10-0.
