Victorino recognized for work on and off field
FIRST PHOTO: Shane Victorino speaks with Kahului Rep. Justin Woodson on the floor of the state House of Representatives during an event Tuesday commending the Boston Red Sox outfielder and St. Anthony High School graduate citing “the extraordinary success he has achieved both as an athlete and a philanthropist.” Victorino is a two-time All-Star, and played on a World Series champion for the second time last year. He also heads the Shane Victorino Foundation, which assists youth organizations in Hawaii and on the Mainland. Gov. Neil Abercrombie also declared Monday to be “Shane Victorino Foundation Day,” and Victorino posted “Honored” on his Twitter page about the declaration.
