Oregon finishes sweep of Hawaii

The University of Hawaii baseball team lost 10-2 to Oregon on Monday at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu, giving the Ducks a sweep of the teams’ season-opening four-game series.

The Rainbow Warriors’ Scott Kuzminsky (0-1) allowed seven runs in seven innings and took the loss.

Tyler Baumgartner had three hits and three runs for the Ducks, and Jeff Gold (1-0) permitted one run in six innings. Oregon’s Mark Karaviotis, a Maui High School graduate, did not play.

Hawaii will begin a four-game home series against Albany on Thursday.
