Seabury Hall seeded third in Division II

Seabury Hall, which won this season’s Maui Interscholastic League Division II boys basketball title with a 14-0 record, was seeded third in the Hawaiian Airlines State Championship bracket released Monday.

Seabury Hall will face Damien in the quarterfinal round Thursday at the Kaimuki gym on Oahu, and the winner will play Friday against second-seeded Kaiser or Hawaii Prep for a berth in the title game, scheduled for Saturday at the Neal Blaisdell Center.

Seabury finished fourth in the state last year.

Defending champion Saint Francis received the No. 1 seed, and Kohala was seeded fourth.

The Division I state bracket was released Sunday. Baldwin received the No. 3 seed and a bye to the quarterfinal round. Lahainaluna is to play defending champion Kalaheo in the first round.
