Southern Cal ends Hawaii’s winning streak at four

The University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team was handed its first loss in five matches on Thursday, falling 25-17, 15-25, 25-14, 25-22 to Southern California in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match in Los Angeles.

Brook Sedore had 14 kills for the Rainbow Warriors (9-5, 7-4 MPSF), ranked 11th in the nation by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Sinisa Zarkovic added 13 kills.

The eighth-ranked Trojans (8-5, 7-5) got 20 kills form Tanner Jansen.

The teams are scheduled to meet again Saturday.
