Warriors beat Bears in state third-place match
Kamehameha Schools Maui took third place in the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Boys Soccer State Championships with a 1-0 victory over Baldwin on Saturday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu.
Micah Alo scored in the 41st minute for the Warriors (12-1-3). Alo and teammate Avinash Singh were named to the all-tournament team, as was Baldwin’s Jaren Otani.
The second-seeded Bears finish with an 11-2-2 record.
Kamehameha and Baldwin tied in both of their meetings in the regular season.
Seabury Hall finished sixth in Division II after losing 4-0 to Kapaa.
Keaton Schneider had two goals for Kapaa (13-2-0), while Noah LaMadrid and Daniel Alonzo each had one.
The third-seeded Spartans fell to 6-8-1.
