Kamehameha regains share of league lead

Kamehameha Schools Maui re-entered a tie for first place in the Maui Interscholastic League boys golf standings with a 194-208 win over Molokai on Saturday at Ironwood Hills in Kualapuu, Molokai.

Jacob Puu had a 44 for the Warriors (6-0), who pulled even with Lahainaluna. Cade Harris and Kainalu Steward each had rounds of 49, and Lucas Park carded a 52. Mitchel Dutro had a 54, Kalei Stanich had a 57 and Zack Fasi a 66.

The scorers for the Farmers (0-3-1) were Jershon Kaalekahi (46), Kaohele Kaiama (51), Damien Garces (55) and William Dela Cruz (56). Kane Vendiola had a 57.

Kamehameha won 198-207 on Friday. The Warriors’ scorers were Puu (48), Dutro (48), Steward (50) and Harris (52). Stanich had a 53, and Fasi a 74.

Dela Cruz and Garces each shot 49, Jershon Kaalekahi had a 54 and Kaiama a 55. Vendiola had a 56, and Cody Kawano a 71.
