Lahainaluna improves to 11-0
Rhett Wiseman and Kaimi Kanaha each had rounds of 37 as the Lahainaluna High School boys golf team defeated Kamehameha Maui 159-180 on Wednesday at the Kaanapali Kai Course, improving to 11-0 in the Maui Interscholastic League and dealing the Warriors their second loss of the season.
Lance Ito carded a 42 for the Lunas, and Tristan Villa had a 43. Antonio Bak shot 75.
Lucas Park’s 41 was the low score for Kamehameha (8-2). Jacob Pu’u (45), Kainalu Steward (46) and Kalei Stanich (48) were the Warriors’ other scorers, and Zack Fasi had an 80.
Baldwin boys def. Maui Prep, forfeit
At Kahili Golf Course in Waikapu, Baldwin won when two Maui Prep players were unable to finish after running out of balls.
Ariel Eltfman Hanson had a 33 for the Bears (10-0), Tyler Munetake a 34, Justin Ngan a 37 and Justin Arcano a 38. John Kaylan Dumo shot 40.
The three players to finish for Na Pueo (3-8) were Adam Quandt (39), Jonah Blue (61) and Nick Head (66).
Seabury Hall boys 195, King Kekaulike 250
At The Dunes at Maui Lani in Kahului, Dawud Moragne carded a 44 as Seabury Hall improved to 4-6-1.
Aron Graziano recorded a 45 for the Spartans, Max Hurd had a 49, Nate Thomas shot 57, Ryan James had a 60 and Justin Medeiros a 79.
The scorers for King Kekaulike (0-13) were Austin Ferreira (58), Jordan Beesley (59), Michael Kleeman (63) and Ian Manibog (70). Thomas Peterson shot 72.
