Records challenged, broken at Kiwanis meet

FIRST PHOTO: Kepa Supnet of Kamehameha Schools Maui attempts to clear 5 feet, 8 1/2 inches during Saturday’s Kiwanis Club of Maui / County of Maui Meet at Yamamoto Track & Field Facility in Wailuku. The height would have been an 8th-grade boys record in the meet, which is in its 89th year – Supnet did not clear the bar, but took first place at 5-2.

SECOND PHOTO: Lokelani’s Galvin Gilo broke the boys 8th-grade record for chinning the bar, with 42 pull-ups.
