Sabers, Bears girls remain tied for first

Kristeena Locke fired a 36 and Jasmine Cabajar shot a 37 as the Maui High School girls golf team beat Seabury Hall 116-160 in a Maui Interscholastic League match Tuesday at The Dunes at Maui Lani in Kahului.

Anna Apana carded a 43 for the Sabers (8-2-1), who remained in a first-place tie with Baldwin. Maui High’s non-scorers were Dayna Yoshimura (48) and Courtney Cadiz (59).

Natasha Salamack shot a 50, Jimmsie Stisher had a 51 and Tiffany Orite posted a 59 for the Spartans (0-9).

At Kahili Golf Course, Kimberlie Miyamoto shot a 35 as the Bears improved to 8-2-1.

Kirsten Ishikawa recorded a 39, and Kaylee Shimizu carded a 41 for Baldwin. Lexi Nagamine had a 43, Erin Kobayashi recorded a 49, Kailey Garcia had a 50 and Alyssa Antiado carded a 69.

Nicole Nagamine shot a 42, Shaina Hipolito had a 46 and Kodi Joyo posted a 60 for the Warriors (2-8). Kalena Tamashiro carded a 62.

King Kekaulike’s Emma Raymond (53) and Ann Feyen (80) participated as non-scorers.
