Seabury Hall earns win, tie against Molokai

The Seabury Hall boys golf team earned its first Maui Interscholastic League win of the season on Saturday, defeating Molokai 192-204 in the second match of a doubleheader at Ironwood Hills in Kualapuu, Molokai.

The teams tied at 200 in the first match.

Dawud Moragne had a 41 for the Spartans (1-2-1) in the second match, Nate Thomas shot 46, Max Hurd had a 50 and Aaron Graziano a 55. Bruno Bernachi had a 66 and Justin Medeiros a 68.

William Dela Cruz’s 43 was the low score for Molokai (0-1-1) in the second match. Kane Vendiola (51), Damien Garces (54) and Kaohele Kaiama (56) were the Farmers’ other scorers. Cody Kawano carded a 54, and Jershon Kaalekahi a 57.

In the first match, Dela Cruz (48), Kaiama (49), Ka-alekahi (51) and Vendiola (52) were Molokai’s scorers. Garces shot 54, and Kawano had a round of 58.

Graziano (39), Moragne (45), Thomas (49) and Hurd (67) posted Seabury’s scores. Bernachi carded a 66, and Medeiros shot 68.
