Bears, Sabers remain tied atop standings

Jasmine Cabajar shot a 38 as the Maui High School girls golf team beat Lahainaluna 119-142 in a Maui Interscholastic League match Tuesday at Waiehu Municipal Golf Course.

Anna Apana fired a 40 and Kristeena Locke had a 41 for the Sabers, who remained tied atop the standings with Baldwin at 12-2-1.

Maui High’s Taylor Akamine posted a 45 and Dayna Yoshimura recorded a 48.

Caitlyn Villatora and Caylyn Villatora each shot 41 for the Lunas (9-6-0), and Emma Cabading carded a 60. Haylee Patch had a 79.

At The Dunes at Maui Lani in Kahului, Kimberlie Miyamoto and Kirsten Ishikawa each fired a 38 as the Bears improved to 12-2-1.

Kaylee Shimizu posted a 41 and Erin Kobayashi had a non-counting 47 for Baldwin.

Natasha Salamack had a 45, Tiffany Orite carded a 53 and Jimmsie Fisher posted a 57 for the Spartans (0-15-0). Jasmine Patel recorded a 54.
