Maui High girls golf team moves into first place

Jasmine Cabajar shot a 35 and Anna Apana carded a 38 as the Maui High School girls golf team beat Kamehameha Maui 114-133 in a Maui Interscholastic League match Tuesday at The Dunes at Maui Lani.

Taylor Akamine added a 41 and Kristeena Locke had a non-scoring 42 for the Sabers (10-2-1), who took a half-game lead over idle Baldwin atop the standings.

Nicole Nagamine had a 40, Shaina Hipolito posted a 45, Kalena Tamashiro carded a 48 and Kodi Joyo recorded a non-scoring 50 for the Warriors (2-10-0).


Lahainaluna girls 143, Seabury Hall 159

At Kapalua Bay Course, Caylyn Villatora fired a 40 and twin sister Caitlyn Villatora had a 41 for the Lunas (7-3-0).

Ennah Cabating added a 62 for the Lahainaluna.

Natasha Salamack shot a 50, Tiffany Orite recorded a 52 and Jimmsie Fisher posted a 56 for the Spartans (0-11).
