Na Alii to host state volleyball match Saturday

King Kekaulike High School received the No. 4 seed in the New City Nissan Boys Volleyball State Championships Division I bracket released Sunday, and will host a quarterfinal match at 3 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Friday’s match at Iolani between Leilehua and Waianae.

Na Alii won the Maui Interscholastic League regular-season title and tournament.

Baldwin, the MIL’s regular-season and tournament runner-up, will play Campbell in a first-round match Friday at Moanalua. The winner will face second-seeded Moanalua on Saturday at Na Menehune’s gym.

Two-time defending champion Punahou got the No. 1 seed. Kamehameha Hawaii is seeded third.

The state championship match is scheduled for May 10 at Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.
