Rainbow Warriors finish winless homestand

The University of Hawaii baseball team lost 8-3 to Cal Poly on Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu, completing a winless six-game homestand.

Marc Flores hit his fourth home run of the season for the Rainbow Warriors (14-19, 2-7 Big West).

Brian Mundell homered for the Mustangs, and Nick Torres was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs.

Scott Squier (2-3) took the loss, allowing six runs – three earned – in 7 1/3 innings.

Casey Bloomquist (8-0) permitted three runs in 6 2/3 innings.

Hawaii will begin a three-game road series against Cal State Northridge on Thursday.
