Molokai finishes fifth with victory over Hawaii Prep
Nohi Meyer was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Brayden Willing-McCutcheon scored four runs as Molokai High School beat Hawaii Prep 9-2 in six innings on Friday at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu to claim fifth place in the Wally Yonamine Foundation Division II State Baseball Championship.
Hana Dudoit-Enos pitched a four-hitter for the Farmers, who won their final two games of the tournament to finish the season 12-1.
Meyer hit an RBI double in the second inning, and drove in another run with a fifth-inning single. Willing-McCutcheon drew three walks, and had two stolen bases. David Rapanot also drove in two runs.
Dudoit-Enos struck out seven batters.
Ka Makani fell to 11-7.
