Incoming storm affects prep football schedule
The preseason high school football game between Lahainaluna High School and Keaau scheduled for Friday at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku was called off Tuesday due to concerns about Hurricane Iselle.
“Keaau decided they did not want to take a chance and come over,” said Joe Balangitao, the Maui Interscholastic League executive director. “They have to keep safety in mind and the storm is set to hit the Big Island first.”
The two other preseason games set for the Valley Isle this weekend are still tentatively set to take place, according to Balangitao.
