Lotulelei released by Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) – Baldwin High School alumnus John Lotulelei was among three players waived/injured by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday.

Lotulelei, a linebacker, has a knee injury.

He signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Nevada-Las?Vegas and was claimed off waivers by Jacksonville later in the year.

The 22-year-old Lotulelei had nine tackles and two forced fumbles in 12 games for the Jaguars last season.

Waived/injured means the team is releasing the player while he is injured. The team is responsible for paying the player until his injury has healed.

Also waived/injured by Jacksonville on Saturday were tackle Jordan Miller (knee) and receiver Damian Copeland (wrist).

The team signed receiver Kenny Shaw, defensive tackle David Carter and linebacker Josh Hull.
