Maui Invitational bracket released

LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) – Arizona will face Missouri in the opening round of the EA Sports Maui Invitational.

The tournament, in its 31st year, will be held Nov. 24-26 at the Lahaina Civic Center.

The Wildcats finished 33-5 last season and reached the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight.

Purdue will meet Kansas State in the other game in that part of the bracket announced Wednesday.

Pittsburgh meets Division II host Chaminade and BYU faces San Diego State on the other side of the bracket.

The Panthers, who are coached by former Hawaii assistant Jamie Dixon, will play Hawaii on Nov. 21 at War Memorial Gym in Wailuku.

Syracuse beat Baylor in last season’s championship game.
