Felix sets pole vault meet record; school mark in range

Washington State junior Kristine Felix, a Baldwin High School graduate, set a WSU Open record by clearing 13 feet, 11 3/4 inches in the pole vault Saturday in Pullman, Wash.

Felix’s height was a personal record, and the second-best in program history, behind only Tamara Diles’ 14-3 1/4 in 2002.

“I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season because I definitely know I can do better,” Felix, the 2013 Pac-12 champion, was quoted as saying on the Washington State athletics website.
