Sept. 19-20-The Maui Marathon and Half-Marathon are scheduled for Sept. 20 – the marathon starts at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center in Kahului and ends at Whalers Village in Kaanapali, while the half-marathon starts and ends at Whalers Village. The Tacos 5K and Slappy Cakes 10K in Kaanapali and Run Forrest Run Front Street Mile in Lahaina, are scheduled for Sept. 19. Registration can be completed at mauimarathonhawaii.com.

Oct. 3-The fifth annual Wiki Wiki 5K and 10K is scheduled for 7 a.m. on Oct. 3 at the Lahaina Gateway Shopping Center. Costumes, and teams of at least four people, are encouraged for the off-road event. The 5K is for runners and walkers of all skill levels, while the 10K is for runners only. Teams must be at least four members. The registration fees is postmarked by Sept. 27 are $30 for adults and $20 for youths 17. Oct. 22-31-Runners Paradise will conduct two Halloween-themed running events in October at Old Maui High School in Paia. “Haunted Mayhem,” a 1.2-mile haunted house, is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. Oct 22-24 and Oct. 28-31. The fees are $10 for adults and $5 for youths. The 2.25-mile “Obstacle Z” event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 31. The fees are $35 for adults and $20 for youths. Aug. 16-The 33rd annual Baldwin Basketball Backers Benefit Golf Tournament is set for Aug. 16 at Waiehu Municipal Golf Course.
