The Maui News – Molokai High School secured a berth in the Division II girls volleyball state tournament with a 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 19-25, 17-15 win over Seabury Hall on Thursday in Lanai City in the semifinals of the Maui Interscholastic League tournament.

The Farmers (9-2) will play Hana today in the league tournament final. Molokai is unbeaten since opening its season with two losses to Hana.

The Spartans finished the year 7-5 — they had been to every D-II state tournament since the division was introduced in 2005, and had won the last five league crowns.

In the first semifinal, Hana defeated Lanai 25-20, 25-15, 25-17. The Dragons, already assured of a fifth consecutive berth in the state tournament, improved to 11-0, while the Pine Lasses ended their season with a 4-8 mark.
