Hana closes unbeaten season with sweep of Lanai

The Maui News

The Hana High School girls volleyball team completed an unbeaten Maui Interscholastic League regular season by sweeping Lanai 25-23, 25-9, 25-10 on Thursday in Hana.

Nohokulaalohalani Lind had eight kills, three digs and an ace for the Dragons (10-0), who were already assured of the Division II regular-season title. Shalia Henderson had seven kills and Shyla Boeche had five aces and 19 assists. Jaylin Victorine-Dyment had six kills and Sara Kanakaole had 13 digs.

Lanai (3-7) will face Maui Prep on Wednesday in Lanai City in the quarterfinals of the MIL D-II tournament — the winner will play Thursday against Hana.

The other D-II quarterfinal pits St. Anthony against Seabury Hall at Erdman Athletic Center in Olinda on Wednesday. The winner of that match advances to face Molokai in the second semifinal Thursday on Lanai.
