Warriors beat Sabers in five

The Kamehameha Schools Maui girls volleyball team got 23 kills and 18 digs from Talia Leauanae in a 24-26, 25-19, 25-20, 26-24, 15-13 win over Maui High on Thursday in a Maui Interscholastic League match in Kahului.

Kylee Yamashita had 13 kills for the Warriors (9-3), who are assured of the No. 2 seed in the MIL Division I tournament. Kayla Kanemitsu had 12 digs, Aliah Ayau had 52 assists and Kimani Fernandez-Roy had five blocks.

The Sabers fell to 5-5.
