Today’s tournament planner

Tennessee vs. Chaminade

9 a.m. • ESPNU

What’s up? Tennessee gets what, on paper, is its easiest test of the tournament and will try to avoid being the first Division I team to finish eighth on Maui since Texas in 2012. Chaminade, which lost to Tennessee in the seventh-place game in 2001, has lost its last 13 Valley Isle games.

Connecticut vs. Oregon

11:30 a.m. • ESPN2

What’s up? Both teams are off to slower starts than many experts predicted, and could use a second victory in this year’s tournament to get back on track. If Connecticut wins its first-ever meeting with Oregon, it would become the ninth school with at least 10 wins in the Maui Invitational.

Oklahoma St. vs. Georgetown

2:30 p.m. • ESPN2

What’s up? The first-ever meeting between these teams will determine third place. The winner will have is best-ever Maui finish — Georgetown took fourth place in 1999, and Oklahoma State was fourth in its lone previous tournament appearance nine years ago.

North Carolina vs. Wisconsin

4:30 p.m. • ESPN2

What’s up? North Carolina will be seeking its fourth Maui Invitational title, one shy of the record held by Duke. Wisconsin is making its first appearance in the final. The Badgers are 1-2 against the Tar Heels — the victory was in the NCAA tournament’s Sweet 16 in 2015.
