Baldwin tops King Kekaulike, advances to MIL semifinals

Antoinette Agmata scored 17 of her game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Baldwin High School girls basketball team to a 54-42 victory over King Kekaulike in the Maui Interscholastic League Division I tournament play-in game Tuesday night at Na Alii’s gym in Pukalani.
Agmata sank five buckets, including a 3-pointer, and made all six of her free throws in the final period, which started with the teams tied at 27.
Deja Nakamura had seven of her 10 points in the fourth for the fifth-seeded Bears (3-10), who advance to face top-seeded Lahainaluna in the semifinals on Thursday night at King Kekaulike.
Daeja Callo-Deponte had 14 points and Liane Tomita scored 10 for the fourth-seeded Na Alii. King Kekaulike finishes the season at 3-10.
