Maui Women’s Golf Championship set

The Maui Women’s Golf Championship, sponsored by the Josh and Souk Jerman Foundation, is scheduled for April 8 at Maui Country Club in Spreckelsville, with a 7 a.m. shotgun start.

The 18-hole, gross-play tournament is open to all female Maui residents 18 years and older with an established GHIN handicap. April 1 handicaps will be used for flighting purposes.

The entry is $65, which also pays for green fees and use of a cart, eligibility for prizes and a continental breakfast and awards luncheon.

Entry forms are available at most Maui golf courses. Space is limited to the first 72 paid entries.

East Maui Boxing Club Show set for Saturday

East Maui Boxing Club has scheduled a fight card for Saturday at Paia Gym.

The first of at least 11 planned bouts is to begin at 6 p.m. — doors will open an hour earlier.

In the main event, Kawai Duldulao Kahoohanohano of Maui’s South Side Boxing Club will face Kauai Boxing Club’s Kelii Alcos.

Tickets will be available at the door for $20, with youths 6-17 years old admitted for $10 and no charge for those 5 and under.
