Wintermeyer helps Lunas get past Spartans

The Maui News – Alicia Wintermeyer scored eight goals, including four of her team’s five in the fourth quarter, and the Lahainaluna High School water polo team edged Seabury Hall 14-12 on Tuesday at Sakamoto Pool in Wailuku.
Nikki Zamani had three goals, Julia Bianco added two and Lara Claydon also scored for Lahainaluna, which improved to 2-0 in Maui Interscholastic League play.
The Lunas led 7-5 at the half before the Spartans came back to tie it at 9-9 heading into the final period.
Skylar Lickle scored nine goals to lead Seabury (0-2). Lily Pickering added two goals and Abby Drood had one.
In an earlier game, Baldwin remained undefeated with a 15-9 victory over Kamehameha Maui.
The Bears improved to 2-0. The Warriors fell to 1-2. Goal scorers were not reported.
