Farmers sweep Pine Lads for fourth consecutive win

The Molokai High School boys volleyball team won its fourth match in a row Saturday, sweeping Lanai 25-16, 25-17, 25-15 at Hoolehua to remain tied for first place in the Maui Interscholastic League Division II standings.

Peter Keliihoomalu had 10 kills for the Farmers (5-1), and Michael Sterner had seven, along with three aces. Kaina Adopho and Lekili Burrow each recorded five kills, and Keison Poaha Alcon had 22 assists.

Leonard Valdez had five kills and eight digs for the Pine Lads. Kanalu Lopez-Agliam had four kills and Ian Viloria had three kills and eight digs.

The Pine Lads fell to 0-8.

SEABURY HALL 3, HANA 0

At Olinda, Kainalu Kubo recorded 20 kills and Ian Roth added 18 as the Spartans won their fifth match in a row, 25-16, 25-21, 28-26.

Roth also had 11 digs, and Kubo served four aces.

Noah Bigelow added six kills for Seabury Hall, which improved to 5-1. Mohalu Aikala had 49 assists and three aces, and Erickson Shull finished with 21 digs.

The Dragons are now 4-4.

LAHAINALUNA 3, BALDWIN 0

At Wailuku, Nicholas Gayagoy had 27 kills and 27 assists to lead the Lunas to a 28-26, 25-18, 25-17 victory.

Jeremi Santos had 12 kills and Pono Murray added 10 for Lahainaluna, which improved to 3-4.

Andrew Ordono had 14 assists and four kills for the Bears, who fell to 1-6.
