Spartans top Na Alii, clinch division title

The Maui News – The undefeated Seabury Hall boys tennis team clinched the Maui Interscholastic League East Division title by defeating King Kekaulike 5-0 on Wednesday at the Kula Community Center.

The Spartans (6-0) won all five matches in straight sets, with Silvan Engert recording a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Quinton Uradomo at No. 2 singles.

Na Alii (5-2) are assured of a spot in the MIL playoffs.

Seabury and King Kekaulike are to meet again today to complete a match that was suspended by rain on March 8. The Spartans have already clinched the team victory by taking a 4-0 lead.

Na Alii won the girls match 5-0, improving to 4-2. Seabury fell to 2-3.
