Maui Invitational’s on-island ticket sale set for next week

Single-game general admission and all-day reserved ticket sales for the Maui Jim Maui Invitational are scheduled for Friday and Sept. 30 at multiple Valley Isle locations, event officials have announced.

Until tickets are sold out, they can be purchased at Hi-Tech Surf Sports stores in Kahului and Paia and The Snorkel Store locations in Kihei and Kaanapali, from 9 a.m. until the closing time of each business on Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 30.

The tournament, in its 34th year, is scheduled for Nov. 20-22 at the Lahaina Civic Center.

Tickets for the Nov. 22 championship game, and for either of the semifinals on Nov. 21, are $95 each. Tickets for the first-round games on Nov. 20, or for the third-place game on Nov. 22, are $70 each. Tickets sold for $40 each will provide admission to either of a pair of two-game sets — the consolation games on Nov. 21, or the seventh-place and fifth-place games on Nov. 22.

All-day reserved tickets in the north grandstands will be sold for $215 per day. Those tickets can currently be purchased for $258 per day at

Individuals may purchase, in person, up to two tickets per game during next week’s sale. Cash and credit card payments will be accepted.

This year’s tournament will begin with Virginia Commonwealth playing Marquette. California meets Wichita State in the second game of the opening round, followed by Chaminade facing Notre Dame before Michigan takes on LSU.

All-day tickets are also available online for $300 for the west platforms and $400 for courtside. All-tournament tickets are already on sale online as well, costing $774 for the north grandstands and $900 for the west platforms.
