Warriors remain unbeaten with victory over Sabers

Ale’a Cervantes had 12 kills to lead the undefeated Kamehameha Schools Maui girls volleyball team to a sweep of Maui High on Tuesday night at the Sabers’ gym in Kahului.

Talia Leauanae had five kills and 10 digs, and Hoala Alapai also had five kills for the Warriors, who won 25-14, 25-15, 25-21. Aliah Ayau had 25 assists and three blocks, and Jasmine Corn had seven aces and 11 digs.

Kamehameha Maui improved to 5-0 in Maui Interscholastic League play. The Sabers fell to 1-5.

Baldwin 3, Lahainaluna 2

At Lahaina, the Bears picked up their first win of the season, rallying to defeat the Lunas 12-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 15-8.

Baldwin improved to 1-5. Individual statistics for the Bears were not reported.

Taylor Ganer had nine kills to lead Lahainaluna (3-3).
