The second day of competition in the International Windsurfing Tour’s Aloha Classic took place Thursday, with youth and amateur sailors taking to the water at Hookipa Beach Park in Kuau.

The highest score of the day belonged to Ishii Takara of Japan, who won his first-round youth heat with a 16.23, earning one of four spots in the final. Takara is also in the pro men’s division — his first-round heats in that category was one of 10 not completed Wednesday.

The top scorer in the amateur division was Spain’s Victor Moncloa, who had a 13.40 in the first round, which gave him one of 16 spots in the third round. Greg Aguera had a 13.03 in the second round.

The contest holding period runs through Nov. 12, and champions are to be decided in six divisions.
