Volunteers wanted for Sentry Tournament of Champions
The J. Walter Cameron Center, as well as the Sentry Tournament of Champions, are seeking volunteers for the PGA Tour event next month at the Kapalua Plantation Course.
The Cameron Center needs volunteers who will be tasked to direct cars in the tournament parking lot Jan. 3-7. Shifts are approximately 5-6 hours and volunteers will be required to stand during the duration of their shift. Lunch and water will be provided.
In exchange for providing volunteers, the tournament will make a cash donation to the Cameron Center. Those interested are asked to contact Katie McMillan at email@example.com or 283-4120 by Dec. 20.
The tournament is also looking for standard bearers for Jan. 4-7. Volunteers must be 12 years old or older, be able to physically walk 18 holes at the Plantation Course and carry a lightweight scoring sign. Beach volleyball tournament scheduled for Friday
Aloha Volleyball will be holding a 12U beach tournament on Friday from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. at the Kula sand courts.
Boy and girls are welcome. Players must register online at least 24 hours prior to the event.

Bryant of Wailuku makes hole-in-one at Waiehu
John Bryant of Wailuku made a hole-in-one on Monday at Waiehu Municipal Golf Course.
Bryant used an 8 iron to ace the 124-yard 16th hole. Witnesses were Chris Tintiangco and Petey Tapuro Jr.
Tavares of Kula makes hole-in-one at Pukalani
Armon Tavares of Kula made a hole-in-one on Nov. 16 at Pukalani Country Club.
Tavares aced the 135-yard third hole using a pitching wedge. Witnesses were James Jones, Warren Higa and Kevin Abulon.
