WAILUKU — One night after a blowout loss, the Nevada women’s basketball team bounced back for a convincing win of its own to finish the Maui Jim Maui Classic.

The Wolf Pack beat Montana State 67-53 at War Memorial Gym on Saturday after opening the tournament with a 40-point loss to No. 21 Oregon State.

Jade Redmon scored a game-high 17 points for the Wolf Pack (4-4) on 6-for-8 shooting, while Terae Briggs added 15 points on 4-for-7 shooting — she scored 27 points in two games here. The rest of the team combined to go 9-for-35 on Saturday.

Tori Martell led Montana State (5-3) with nine points in seven minutes off the bench — she shot 3-for-3 from 3-point range. Rebekah Hatchard was one of three Bobcats to score eight points — she was 4-for-4 from the field.

The rest of the Montana State roster shot 14-for-47 on Saturday, one night after the Bobcats beat Utah State.
