Calderon leads Pine Lads past Dragons

MIL BASKETBALL

Naighel Calderon scored 23 points as the Lanai High School boys basketball team remained undefeated in Maui Interscholastic League play with a 61-34 victory over Hana on Friday night at the Dragons’ gym.

Arjen Uminga had nine points — all on 3-pointers — for the Pine Lads (3-0), who sunk eight baskets from behind the arc in the game.

Chayton Keegan led the Dragons (0-3) with 12 points.

SEABURY HALL GIRLS 41, MOLOKAI 36

At Hoolehua, the Spartans (7-0) led just 25-24 the halftime break, but pulled away in the second half to remain unbeaten.

Anaulei Tuivai scored 18 points and Ameera Waterford added 15 for the Spartans, who led 33-28 at the end of the third quarter.

Sydney Rawlins had 13 points for the Farmers (1-4), while Kaitlin DeRouin had 11.

SEABURY HALLL BOYS 60, MOLOKAI 36

At Hoolehua, the Spartans (3-0) led 17-5 at the end of the first quarter and 29-14 at halftime.

Kama Konohia scored 17 points for Seabury Hall while Noah Payne added 13 and Isaiah Payne had 12.

Kreole Pawn-White led the Farmers (0-3) with 10 points, while Stephen Agcaoili added eight.
