Ka Lima O Maui golf tournament set

Ka Lima O Maui’s 12th annual golf tournament will be held Feb. 24 at The Dunes at Maui Lani.

The two-person scramble has a 7 a.m. shotgun start.

The registration fee is $125 per player until Jan. 31, and $150 thereafter. It includes a continental breakfast, lunch and awards, as well as a hole-in-one contest.

Sponsorships are also being accepted.

Aloha Volleyball to hold boys tourney Monday

Aloha Volleyball will hold the Martin Luther “King of the Beach” Tournament on Monday starting at 9 a.m. at the Kula sand courts.

The boys tournament will have two divisions — U14 and U18. The entry fee is $15 per player. No partner is needed.

Registration is available online at alohavolleyball.com. The deadline to register is Sunday.

Paia Bay Beachfest to be held Jan. 20-21

The 21st annual Paia Bay Beachfest will be held Jan. 20 and 21 at the Paia Youth and Cultural Center.

The event, dubbed “Beachfest 21,” will include bodyboarding and surfing competitions starting at 8 a.m. (registration begins at 7). The divisions are menehune, juniors, wahine, kane, drop knee and youth surfing.

The entry fee is $20, increasing to $30 on event day. Registration closes at 9:30 a.m. on event day.

Adams records ace at Maui Nui

Michael Adams of Kihei made a hole-in-one on Sunday at Maui Nui Golf Course.

Adams used an 8 iron to ace the 170-yard 12th hole. Witnesses were Maury Davenport, Doug Boyd and Sally Dean.
