Baldwin High School’s Angelo Deloso-Flocco was named a Division I co-Most Outstanding Player for The Queen’s Medical Center Boys Soccer State Championships on Tuesday.
Deloso-Flocco helped lead the Bears to a share of the D-I state title last week — the championship match against Hawaii Prep on Saturday was called with the teams tied 0-0 in overtime due to lightning in the area of Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium on Oahu. The teams agreed to share the title, with each becoming the first Neighbor Island teams to win the D-I boys soccer state championship.
Deloso-Flocco shares the MOP honors with Ka Makani’s Jake Schneider.
Other Maui Interscholastic League players to make the all-tournament team were the Bears’ Hayden Hawes, Kai Sears, Daniel Souza and Elliot Tom, and King Kekaulike’s Cade Taniguchi and Zakariya Woolley.
