Spartans seeded third for D-II state tourney

Seabury Hall is seeded third for this week’s Snapple Boys Basketball Division II State Championship on Oahu.
The Spartans, the Maui Interscholastic League champions who are 12-1 this season, will face Damien in a quarterfinal game on Wednesday at Kaimuki. The winner of the game will face either No. 2 Kalani or Honokaa in a semifinal Thursday at St. Francis.
The Division I tournament, the bracket for which was released last week, starts today with the first round — MIL runner-up Kamehameha Maui hosts Kapolei at 7 p.m.
The D-I and D-II championship games will be played on Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
