Hana completes weekend sweep of Seabury Hall

The Hana High School boys volleyball team finished off a season-opening, two-match sweep of Seabury Hall on Saturday morning, defeating the Spartans 18-25, 25-15, 25-21, 25-19 at Erdman Athletic Center in Olinda.

The Dragons, who the night before outlasted the Spartans in five sets, improved to 2-0 in Maui Interscholastic League play. Two-time defending MIL Division II champion Molokai also swept its opening series, taking two matches from Lanai in Hoolehua this weekend.

Statistics for Hana were not reported.

Kainalu Kubo had 15 kills and three aces to lead Seabury (0-2). Noah Bigelow had 12 kills, Ethan Preseault added nine kills and Noah Garcia had five blocks.
