Harmon launches Bears over Sabers

Aliya Harmon hit a three-run homer and a two-run double, and the Baldwin High School softball team remained undefeated in Maui Interscholastic League play with a 13-1, five-inning win over Maui High on Wednesday at Patsy Mink Field in Kahului.
On her 4-for-4 day, Harmon drove in five of her team’s 10 runs scored over the second and third innings that broke a 1-1 tie.
Sasha Tanoue-Kekona also homered for the Bears (5-0), hitting a two-run shot in the third. She finished 2-for-2 with a walk and three runs scored.
Baldwin starter Kayla Tuaoa pitched three innings for the win, allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out two. Kacey Sakamoto threw two innings of scoreless relief.
Erin Prieto knocked in the lone run for the Sabers (1-4) with a line drive single in the top of the second inning.
