Matautia, No. 2 Rainbow Warriors sweep past No. 13 Eagles

Austin Matautia had 15 kills, 10 digs and three aces to lead the second-ranked University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team to a 25-1, 25-13, 25-21 victory over No. 13 Concordia-Irvine on Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Rado Parapunov added 11 kills and six digs, and Joe Worsley had 39 assists to help the Rainbow Warriors (10-2) hit .443 for the match. King Kekaulike High School graduate Colton Cowell picked up a service ace for UH.

Raymond Barsemian led the Eagles (8-7) with 11 kills.

The teams play again Sunday.
