Michael Beesing homered, drove in four runs and scored twice to help the King Kekaulike High School baseball team pick up its first Maui Interscholastic League win of the season Tuesday, 16-3 over Lahainaluna in five innings at Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.

Jaxon Holl hit two doubles and had two runs and two RBIs, and Keanu Pakele tripled and had a run and RBI for Na Alii (1-6).

King Kekaulike starter Jaxon Holl gave up three runs on two hits and a walk while striking out three over four innings.

The Lunas fell to 0-7.

Maui High 7, Kamehameha Maui 6, 9 innings

At Maehara Stadium, the Sabers rallied for two runs in the seventh to force extra innings and scored twice in the top of the ninth to hand the Warriors their first loss of the season.

Trestan Carter doubled for defending state champion Maui High, which improved to 4-0.

Lopaka Cabanilla-Aricayos went 3-for-4 with a run and RBI for Kamehameha Maui (3-1). Tristan Catan tripled and scored twice.
